The Order of Things, Part II

Peter/Rose B&W Things

Not a ficlet, but exactly what the title implies. It's a combo offering--a timeline showing the order of the stories and ficlets in Peter and Rose's relationship (so I can keep track of where I am, writing-wise), and lists of links to the relevant chapters and stories.

I’ve had to break the post into two sections—it finally hit the max on posting size. So here’s Part II: Everything that’s not Year One – Three, including the Professor and the Heiress. The original version of the post still exists, so that I could hang on to the comments; it can be found here.

And, they're all lovely!

Impressive! Your wonderful 'verse has grown enough to merit two posts! *applauds*

You know, lists like this make me want to go back and read things all over again...

Cool! I will go back and check my File Of Doom to see if I've missed anything or have anything in the wrong order (it's so huge, it merits capital letters!) :-) If you ever want your entire Peter/Rose canon in one Word file, just let me know - I've got it!

*considers rereading the entire thing AGAIN*

What do I have to do to get a copy of the whole thing in one file? That wold be so totally awesome.

I've got TWoT but it would be brill to have the rest to read at my leisure!!!

Well, if jlrpuck says it's okay for me to give it to you, then you give me your email address and I can email you the file. I warn you, though, it is huge. I mean HUGE. Like... over 4 megs huge. Which means lots and lots of lovely Peter and Rose goodness. :-)

Hmm....does chicklet73's "A Lover's Hands" go in this list? I thought it was part of your 'verse but maybe it's not?

It is, but clearly I overlooked it. I can't imagine why...

Sorry... I'm being a pain, I know. One other minor thing... in the list of Alternate Thing stories you list "A Bard’s Epitaph" but if you click on the link, the actual title of the story is "The Bard's Epitaph".

Totally shutting up now.

Indeed--and it'll stay that way. You'll note the (original) inconsistency actually lies between the title of the story--and the title of the poem. ;)

The Undertaking: Epilogue
I'm not sure why but I can't view The Undertaking: Epilogue, even if I log into livejournal, is it f-locked or something?

Re: The Undertaking: Epilogue
Ah, yes--it is indeed. I need to figure out why I f-locked it; and then odds are it'll be unlocked.

Hello :)

I saw that [info]crimedoc1 has the entire thing in one file and I was wondering if it would be okay with you if she emailed me the file.

I'd love to have all of the 'verse in one format to be easily readable when I'm at work :)

If I can get the go-ahead from you I can email [info]crimedoc1.

thankies :)

The FILE OF DOOM is now up to 1,265 pages! Times New Roman, 12pt, single spaced.

*thud*

The last line in the file is:

“Bloody hell,” sighed Peter Carlisle. “I should have been a history professor.”

Which segues right into An Alternate Thing, which is in a separate file and is another 164 pages (a mere piker of a 'verse, obviously - grin)

Pretty soon I will have to purchase a new hard drive JUST to hold the collected works of jlrpuck and friends!

You. Are. AMAZING!

Oh, as far as I can tell, the only thing missing is today's fic, A Storm Thing, which is not yet in the updated timeline!

Ok, I *love* that the file ends with "I should have been a history professor." Further proof--if any were needed--that [info]azriona is a fic mastermind.

I...can't believe I've written, effectively, 1,430 pages in the past two years. Wow.
[info]crimedoc1 wrote:

Well believe it. You have. Or, darn close, anyway. Although the FILE OF DOOM does also include the fics other people like xebgoc have written in your 'verse. But even if you subtract... oooh... call it 100 pages? (Almost certainly overestimating here) That's still like writing the Lord of the Rings trilogy or something!

The last line in the file comes from the Leopard crackfic, btw. :-)

So where does today's fic fit in??? (hint hint hint)

Seriously, you are amazingly awesomely wonderful. Thanks for all the terrific stories!

I absolutely adore this entire universe you've created.

I plowed through the entire collection (after a stroke of luck stumbling across your journal; having originally gotten addicted over at the Teaspoon) over a couple of days. Honestly, I was so engrossed I never made it to bed last night, which made for a bit of a disorienting day at work, but I've no regrets! :D

Thank you so much for all the time and love you've put into this world, and for sharing it with us!

*sigh* I had to give up posting these to Teaspoon--I just didn't feel they met the criteria, after a certain point. I'm very happy you found me over here, though! I still post fairly regularly--pretty much every Monday and Thursday. Just for the record *g*

*hugs* Thank you for reading my stories!

I read the whole kit 'n kaboodle in a day and a half. I adored every line, especially because there's always a tension to Peter and Rose's relationship, but they get a happy ending. They're so well thought out and real, I thought I was walking into someone's life -with, you know, Zepplins and a lack of Christmas and lots of fertility festivals-.

Just lovely.

Thank you for writing this.
