Not a ficlet, but exactly what the title implies. It's a combo offering-a timeline showing the order of the stories and ficlets in Peter and Rose's relationship (so I can keep track of where I am, writing-wise), and a list of links to the relevant chapters and stories.
Cheers!

*skulks off to update the post*
It's fantastic so far ! I'm not really a shipper - don't want it on screen, but I love it in fanfic. What I love about your story is that the merging of two worlds makes the shippy-ness ok because you know that it couldn't ever happen in their separate tv universes, and thus Rose becomes a surrogate for the reader (read *me*!:) ... ... in a way that would never be if it were really Rose and The Doctor -- or Peter and Natalie or some other woman in the Blackpool universe as we know it from the tv series.
thanks a TON !

Which was one of the reasons why I felt...relatively comfortable, I suppose, deciding to write this particular crossover. Because it was theoretically possible that the two of them would meet up, given what we knew of their two worlds.
thanks a TON !
You're welcome!
Will be putting this in my memories! :D
Where does A Dinner Thing come into this? :)
...or are you Gaslighting me?
Where does A Scottish Patient fit in here?
Thankee!
hmmmm how about a automatically updating RSS feed thingy with additional pdfs that slots the pieces in just right place
I wonder if my school will notice if I start printing... duplex of course... hmm
but would it be a night mare to make them into pdf for better saving when we need to read them again,,, and again,,, and a few more times, heh
I wonder if my school will notice if I start printing... duplex of course... hmm
Not that I have experience in this, mind you--but if you copy the document into word, the network will only know that you printed a Word document, not "A Teaspoon and An Open Mind: A Doctor Who...". Again--not that I'm speaking from experience. ;)
Also, if you print a chapter a day, that might work....and you could bring in a ream of paper to replace what you've used *g*
I've seen you posting your TWoT fics for awhile, but I never got a chance to read them since I hadn't seen "Blackpool." Needless to say, I watched it recently, and while I found the concept to be ridiculous with much left to be desired, I did thoroughly enjoy David Tennant (well, I always enjoy him) and his character, Peter Carlisle.
So, while checking my f-page one day, I saw someone made a fanmix for TWoT. I decided to give it a chance, and began reading your story...
It takes dedication to write a 44 chapter fic, and on that basis alone, I give you incredible credit. To make it compelling and keep a steady storyline with character development throughout the course of it is even more of a challenge, but you managed to pull it off. For the past week(s?), I've stayed up 'til abou 3 am reading the chapters and the little ficlets on the side, despite having to work at noon. I've put this page in my memories, since it deserved a place there.
Excellent job with, well... everything. You
almostwant it to be canon, that Rose finds her soulmate in a man who only resembles the Doctor physically, but mentally, is completely different. It would be a fine ending for Rose, who never wanted to leave the Doctor and was stuck in the parallel universe against her will. On a side note, I like how archaic this world is compared to our own. I rather like it.Whether you're writing more or not, I have no idea. But I'll be keeping my eyes peeled, just in case :3
For which I say--thank you.
I kind of fell into this whole writing thing, and found it to be terribly addictive once I found my rhythm and the character's voices. It's certainly addictive enough that I'm still writing--ficlets, posted on Mondays, and a proper sequel which sucks down most of my spare time. The more I've come to know the characters, the more I've come to realize just how much story there is to tell--not just about Peter and Rose, but about the world in which they live. It also keeps me a bit sane, what with the chaos of my normal, 9-5 (or 6:30-3:30, as the case may be) job.
So--thank you for stopping by, for giving this a chance, and for taking the time to read and comment.
Will xebgoc's "With Such Beauty on Show" be put into the timeline somehwere?
*mind boggles*
Some of the tales *are* f-locked--that's up to the individual authors, and isn't something I could or would meddle with. For all of them, however, you should be able to click on the story title, and be taken, at the very least, to the author's journal.
Cheers!
just posting to say that the link for a tripocket thing doesn't work, it just takes you to a beatlejessie thing.
*kicks machine*
Thanks--I'll lock this down and re-build it. Again.
*loves the timeline*
;)
But I’ve got a question about the timeline. You have Ch 26-epilogue of ASTG all falling in November. But Ch 29 includes the events of A Holiday Thing, which is in December. And in The Scottish Patient, which is in January, Peter is still in Kendal. So that happens before the Epilogue of ASTG, doesn’t it?
I fail.
It's been fixed--although I know I'm still missing a ficlet or two....
Thanks again for all the great stories and for the ordering of them! I can't wait to read more! ;D
D'oh! Actually, they're meant to go in entirely separate years! A lostwolfchats Thing actually belongs in Year Nine. I've moved it--and thank you for the heads-up!
Anything new en route?
Also, I added in the links to "A Near Thing", just in case you missed it.
Cheers!
